Are you an author interested in being in or promoting in ReadHer? 

First. Thank you for even considering us. We are a BRAND NEW business and the fact that you want to collaborate is truly humbling. 

Second. ReadHer is super excited for the opportunity to collaborate with authors! As readers, we're fans first! So the opportunity to do a collabo is always something that we're thinking of. 

Okay so now the details.

ReadHer is a book subscription box for women. 

Books need to be a minimum of 200 pages. 

The books you'll find in ReadHer will be written by Black Authors.  

The subject matter, as of now, is Black romance. So this means that the characters (regardless of gender or sexuality) will both identify as Black/African/African-American etc. 

This mean that the book's protagonist will not consist of a lead love interest or character who doesn't identify as Black. 

Why?

One of the many goals that we have for ReadHer is to share Black stories. We want for whoever opens a ReadHer box, to have a reading experience that highlights and celebrates the Black experience. We believe that stories that celebrate Black culture and Black love are one of the many ways that we can tell our own stories, share our journeys, demonstrate how beautiful Black culture is and beautiful Black people are. 

So in order for this to happen, we have to ensure that the stories we share, do that. So if you are interested in collaborating with ReadHer, please ask yourself:

• Does my book celebrate Black culture?
• Is it a positive representation of Blackness?
• Does my book tell an engaging story of Black love and relationships?
